Step-by-Step Process of Making Ciabatta Bread
Step #1
Start with making biga. The process is very simple. Take a bowl and mix the flour, dry yeast, and wate. Wait for 12-24 hours before making the dough. It makes the biga perfect.
Step #2
Let’s move to the second step, which is preparing the dough. Once the dough for the ciabatta has fermented for at least 12 hours, mix the biga with the remaining ingredients. The thin dough for ciabatta contains water, wheat, yeast, and salt.
Use a wooden spoon to combine each ingredient. Avoid feeling obligated to add more flour or water. It will initially seem dirty, but then it will look too damp.
Step #3
Let’s wait 2-3 hours and let the bread dough double in size.
Step #4
Turn the bread dough onto a board liberally dusted with flour, then divide it in two. Make two long bread.
Step #5
Put them on a baking pan with parchment paper attached.
Step #6
With a wet tea towel, wrap the loaves. Give them up to two hours to expand and rise again.
Step #7
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit with a pizza stone in the center an hour before baking the bread.
Step #8
Press the bread on the heated pizza stone with parchment paper on top, and it should be baked for about 25 minutes or until the desired amount of golden brownness.
Step #9
Place it on a wire rack and let it cool completely before slicing it with a sharp knife.
